And the Beyhive has Twitter CHIRPING. This afternoon director Jon Favreau released new promo images showing the actors of Disney’s The Lion King staring at their live action counterparts. Of course with a cast as amazing as this one, I get excited with any little bit of promotion we get from the movie. But naturally, queen Bey stole the show with her image. This character image of Beyonce and Nala is giving life to the millions of members of the Beyhive. Beyonce IS Nala. If these new images don’t excite you, then I don’t know what will.

About The Lion King
Disney’s “The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
I already told you guys about all the moments from the animated version that I can’t wait to see play out in this movie. Jon Favreau also directed The Jungle Book and that was done amazingly, so I cannot wait to see him bring my childhood to life. While I know everyone is excited for Beyonce, I am more than ready to see how Childish Gambino embraces the role as Simba. Also, Alfre Woodard and James Earl Jones are ICONS, this cast was MADE for this movie.
