New DUMBO Sneak Peek + Printables

Let’s get right to it friends, Dumbo is probably THE CUTEST movie that is coming out this year. And for this reason, it’s going to be the hardest for me to watch. I’m all for the live-action movie trend going on but look how freakin’ cute baby Dumbo is. The animated version of this movie is EMOTIONAL. So seeing Dumbo look SOO real, is hard. Check out the new sneak peek Disney shared with us a few days ago:

These 18 Black Families Are Showing Their Disney Side

In the year of our lord and savior 2019, I am all about coming together and uplifting people in the African American community. If you read my post highlighting the black mommy bloggers you should be following on Instagram, you already know where I’m going. I am a habitual uplifter, and now more than ever we are required to put ourselves out there, in front of everyone and show that we aren’t afraid to create our own spaces.

I, much like everyone have loved Disney since I was a little girl. My earliest Disney memory is at 2 years old when I saw my first (I’m assuming) Disney movie in theaters and the love has continued long and strong since then. When I joined the Disney Moms of Color community I was excited to connect with so many other women of color who aren’t afraid to share their love for all things Disney. I almost feel as if in the black community Disney was seen as unattainable for so long and it’s great to connect with people who aren’t afraid to spread the pixie dust!

From the best places to stay, to Disney on a Dime these families are showing off their Disney side and I’m loving every single second of it!

3 Disney Spots You Might’ve Missed If You Boycotted “The Big Game”

So yesterday was “the big game” and I honestly have zero interest in taking part in anything NFL related. Not that I ever knew what was happening before, but now more than ever they won’t get views and/or coins off of me. What I WAS excited for was all of the movie trailers that aired during the game. I didn’t have my tv on AT ALL, but I was tuned in via internet. Every time a trailer dropped I was ready and I ESPECIALLY was looking for the sneak peek of Toy Story 4.

If you’re like me and didn’t tune into the game or anything like that at all, no worries. I’m here to share with you friends, all 3 Disney spots that aired during “The Big Game”.

Captain Marvel

Marvel Studios’ CAPTAIN MARVEL opens on March 8, 2019 in U.S. theaters.

Personally, I stayed up past my bedtime JUST so I could make sure I didn’t miss the Toy Story 4 trailer. I know I keep saying it but there’s just something about 2019 and nostalgia that I can’t help but be excited for. So which trailer did you enjoy the most?

Are You Using Screen Time on iOS?

These children have such easy access to the internet nowadays and managing screen time is important now more than ever. I hadn’t really taken a GOOD look at all of the benefits Family Sharing has to offer within iOS 12 until a few days ago and seriously, screen time is a game changer! I’m not a perfect parent so my children do get screen time (some days way more than others) so having the peace of mind that I can control what they’re accessing, and for how long is an amazing plus for me. If not, my four year old will play Roblox ALL DAY.

Screen Time offers amazing benefits for anyone who wants insights on how they’re utilizing their device. But it’s especially great for families.

Some of the great features I discovered:

Activity Reports – These give you a detailed look at all of the app usage, notifications and device pickups.

App Limits – Because after you see all the usage, you’re going to need it. You can set daily limits for app categories such as Social Networking, Games or Productivity.

Downtime – Downtime disallows all app usage with the exception of phone calls and apps that you choose to allow. It’s essentially like a nap time for your phone.

And when you set up screen time limits for a child their are tons of other great features as well (“Ask for More Time”, restricted usage on certain apps, and extensive parental controls).

I definitely have not been taking full of all the benefits Screen Time has to offer but I definitely will be now! Check out this video below as I walk you through a brief set up of screen time on a new “child’s” device.
